So we went from smartphones… to smart watches… to smart glasses…and now they’re seriously working on smart contact lenses.
A company is developing these lenses that could basically put things like GPS, augmented reality, health tracking, and notifications directly onto your eyeball.
The idea is that eventually you wouldn’t even need to pull out your phone because everything could just appear in your vision.
Different companies are already testing prototypes that can monitor things like glucose levels and eye pressure, and some think consumer versions could start showing up within the next several years, like by 2030!
They still have to figure out comfort, battery life, and safety… but it really feels like we’re heading toward a future where wearable tech becomes basically invisible.
