So this story that went viral about Tampa airport banning pajamas turned to be not a real policy at all. The airport posted on social media saying they were banning pajamas and Crocs, calling daytime pajama-wearing an “airport crisis.”
The post blew up online and got millions of views, but the airport later clarified it was just a joke meant to spark conversation about travel etiquette.
But honestly it did start a pretty funny debate: should airports actually ban certain things?
Like imagine if that rule showed up at LAX. Pajamas might be controversial, but there are probably other things travelers would vote to ban first — like bare feet on airplanes, people clipping their nails mid-flight or blasting videos without headphones
United Airlines recently enacted an ACTUAL rule that requires headphones if you’re watching or listening to anything during a flight.
And can we talk about bringing super stinky food onto the plane... that for sure should be banned!
I think we could all continue this list!
