There were so many great things to watch over Thanksgiving break, my queue was stacked.
Between “The Beast in Me” on Netflix… "Stranger Things” is back…and actually going to the movies to see “Wicked For Good” and “Zootopia 2”...
But I really wanna shine some light on Ed Sheeran’s doc on Netflix... One Shot with Ed Sheeran. It’s absolutely incredible!
It opens with Ed alone on stage at Hammerstein Ballroom in New York City, doing his thing with guitar and loops, then he steps off into the city…there are surprise engagement surprise performances to cabs, double-decker buses, the subway, even an Irish pub jam session.
The special is marketed as being filmed in one continuous take, but people are already debating whether that’s actually true.
Ed and the director insist it really was shot in one long, uninterrupted run through New York City but critics and fans are pointing out little moments that make them think there had to be some hidden cuts.
Either way, the whole one-shot style gives it this cool, laid-back, follow-him-around vibe…even if the internet isn’t totally convinced...
