There's been a lot of talk about the gender pay gap and influential actors in Hollywood are speaking out on the issue...a major YES from me.
The latest to speak out is our girl Sophie Turner (soon to be Jonas). Harper's Bazaar UK asked her about the pay gap between her and Game Of Thrones costar Kit Harrington.
And although Kit does make a significant amount more than Sophie she does, she revealed she did get an "inclusion rider" in her contract for the show. This means that stars can ask for more diverse and equal representation in the cast and crew. That way she can push for a workforce that's comprised of men and women equally!
Sophie shared, "Now you can see women in the camera department, producing, directing...it's exciting!" There's still SO much work to be done in the industry so every step forward is a major win.
It makes me really happy to see women who have influence stepping up and sticking their necks out to make a change! Sophie Turner, you are kinda EVERYTHING!
