Seacrest Reminisces On His First-Ever LA Thanksgiving With Roomie Tannaz

You haven’t lived unless you’ve been forced to share a room with someone in an apartment 😂 Ryan Seacrest recalled during our on-air “Showgiving” celebration ahead of Thanksgiving on Wednesday, November 27, the time he moved to Los Angeles and had to live in a one-bedroom apartment with pal Mark Tannaz.

“I remember when I first moved [to LA], I knew one person: Mark Tannaz,” Seacrest, who grew up in Atlanta, shared. “… He and I were literally roommates in one bedroom and I say that with a somber tone because it was a moment where I was sharing a bedroom with Mark Tannaz,” Seacrest joked. “… Listen, using his towel — and I’ll never forget — using his towels made me a different person.”

As anyone who has lived the struggle can relate, “it had a rip in it and it was thin,” Seacrest added. “We didn’t love to do laundry at Park Point apartment complex. It was a real chore to go down there.”

Seacrest continued that he and Tannaz would travel to Tannaz’s parent’s house in Corona to spend Thanksgiving.

“He and I would eat several rounds of what his mom and dad would make and the game was you win if you can sit at the table [and] you lose if you’ve eaten so much you have to go lay down on the carpet,” he recalled. “The game was eat until you can’t sit up.”

Watch back the LOL on-air moment in the video above and have a safe and Happy Thanksgiving!
