LAUSD Will Not Reopen School Campuses This Fall

LAUSD Superintendent Austin Beutner announced that LAUSD students will not return to the classroom this fall because of an increase in coronavirus cases in SoCal.

Beutner said the "health and safety of all in the school community is not something we can compromise."

The fall semester is scheduled to begin Aug. 18, however there will be no in-person classes. Students will continue to learn via online-only mode.

The San Diego Unified School District also confirmed in a joint statement with LAUSD that its fall semester will resume in a virtual format.

Do you think LAUSD is making the right decision?
