An unidentified boy has captured the country's collective heart by performing a selfless act on Halloween.
Maryland residents Kevin and Leslie Hodges had placed a bowl of candy on their front porch for trick-or-treaters -- and by the time a little boy in a Dracula costume got to the house, the bowl had been emptied. Security footage shows the boy look into the bowl with an extremely disappointed look on his face.
As he turns around to leave, he sees an even younger girl approaching the house. The boy immediately reaches into his bag, pulls out a handful of candy and dumps it into the bowl -- apparently, so the little girl won't be disappointed, too.
"This has got to give hope to everyone that there are still amazing people in this world," Leslie Hodges wrote on Facebook. "What a selfless act from this little guy!"
