TV Hospital Shows Are Donating Medical Supplies to Aid Coronavirus Efforts

TV medical dramas are doing their part to aide medical workers in hospitals who need supplies during the Coronavirus crisis. This action comes after these shows have suspended production to protect their cast and crew from the spread of Covid-19.

ABC Network shows like Grey's Anatomy, The Good Doctor and Station 19 are among the medical TV shows who have, and are donating medical supplies to real-life emergency personnel.

This comes as medical personnel nationwide report a lack of adequate medical supplies to combat Covid-19.

According to a CBS News report, Grey's Anatomy has donated gloves and gowns, and Station 19 is donating N95 masks to the City of Ontario Fire Department and a firehouse in Los Angeles.

That CBS report states that the ABC Network provided this statement:

"At 'Station 19,' we were lucky enough to have about 300 of the coveted N95 masks which we donated to our local fire station. They were tremendously grateful. At Grey's Anatomy, we have a backstock of gowns and gloves which we are donating as well."

"We are all overwhelmed with gratitude for our healthcare workers during this incredibly difficult time, and in addition to these donations, we are doing our part to help them by staying home," she added.

"The Good Doctor" is working on a donation of a similar kind, the CBS reports adds.

According to the CBS report, The Resident on FOX also made a generous donation of medical supplies. Dr. Karen L. Law, the program director of the Internal Medicine Residency Program at Emory University in Atlanta, took a photo of the items outside the hospital and thanked the show.
