"Despacito" by Luis Fonsi and Daddy Yankee was recently awarded seven Guinness World Record titles and it continues to be a chart-topping song.
Luis Fonsi appeared on The Tonight Show on Wednesday, January 30 where he and Jimmy Fallon had some fun with the smash-hit, "Despacito". After asking where the idea for the song came for, Jimmy Fallon gave Luis Fonsi a mic and the two started to remix "Despacito".
First, Fallon remixed the song with a series of words that had to do with Flaming Hot Cheetos, to which Fonsi laughed along to. Jared Leto was the theme of the second remix, to which Luis Fonsi went along to “Jared Leto...All your acting choices are so neat-o.You look so handsome in a white tuxedo...Really hope you get an Oscar win repeat-o.”
The best part was when both Jimmy and Luis sang together (well, read off the teleprompter) about speedos. Watch the hilarious remixes below
During his interview with Fallon, Fonsi opened up about the song: “I woke up with the idea and then I recorded it in my studio. Then I met with a great friend. We finished the song and we recorded it, we produced it. Then I finished it and I was like ‘it’s missing a little bit of like fire’ and then I called Daddy Yankee. And then it explodes.” He continued: “Then we released it and then months later, Justin Bieber joined the party and it’s just out of control man. It’s a beautiful thing.”
