Drink Black Coffee? This Study Says You're Likely A Psycopath

If you just poured yourself a hot cup off black coffee, you may want to read this first. A group of researchers at the University of Innsbruck in Austria are arguing that drinking black coffee may reveal an aspect of your personality that you may have never considered.

According to the study, people who prefer their coffee black are more likely to be psychopaths or have sadistic tendencies. ***insert shocked emoji here***

The lead authors of this study are psychologists Christina Sagioglou and Tobias Greitemeyer; the two surveyed more than 1,000 participants about their flavor preferences based on a scale that measured sweet, sour, salty and bitter.

In addition to their flavor preferences, participants were also asked to take four different personality tests to assess their Machiavellian traits, which put you into any of the four categories:  psychopathy, narcissism, sadism, and aggression.

The study's results were published in the journal Appetite. The results indicated that there is a strong correlation between individuals who exhibit antisocial traits and strong bitter tastes (including black coffee, beer, tonic water and radishes).

Those who enjoyed these bitter beverages and food were also found to enjoy inflicting pain on other people to a certain degree.I'm sure that means bullying, etc - not actual physical pain.

The test went on to find the opposing side of the results: those who prefer sweeter coffee are more likely to be "agreeable" and easily show sympathy, kindness, and cooperativeness.

Reminder, not all psychopaths like black coffee. The study wants to remind you that It's always good idea to look at an individual's overall behavior and other traits before coming to a conclusion.

What do you guys think about this study? I'm gonna start analyzing people who drink black coffee from here on forward.
