All of our favorite childhood cartoon have or are becoming live-action movies, and Dora the Explorer is no exception.
"Dora the Explorer", her monkey Boots, Backpack and other animated friends are hitting the big screen soon, and we officially have our first look!
Isabela Moner will be playing Dora in the live action version of the cartoon. The 17-year-old actress from Sicario: Day of the Soldado and Transformers: The Last Knight shared her excitement about playing Dora.
The movie is being directed by James Bobin, and is Dora’s official big screen debut after fourteen seasons and 172 episodes on Nickelodeon.
So far these are the details we have on the upcoming film: Dora is in High School! (CAN YOU BELIVE THAT?) "Always the explorer, Dora quickly finds herself leading Boots (her best friend, a monkey), Diego, and a rag tag group of teens on a live-action adventure to save her parents and solve the impossible mystery behind a lost Inca civilization."
Joining the cast too is famed Latinx star Eugenio Derbez - who will play Alehandroa mysterious jungle inhabitant who tries to protect the teenagers from the marauders.Her cousin Diego will also be in the film! But no details on who will voice the other beloved characters.
The movie will hit theaters on August 2, 2019. Filming is in progress in Australia.
