The West Hollywood City Council has voted to remove the Donald Trump star from the Hollywood Walk of Fame.
The resolution passed unanimously on Monday night.
West Hollywood Mayor John Duran called a Walk of Fame star "an honor" that Trump did not deserve due to his comments on immigrants, women, minorities and other groups.
The resolution doesn't mean the star is going away, however. The final decision is up to the Hollywood Chamber of Commerce.
Trump's star has been repeatedly vandalized since Trump's election. Most recently someone smashed it with a pickaxe last month.
