The D23 Expo at the Anaheim Convention Center kicked off with a Legends Award ceremony.
After Disney CEO Bob Chapek took the stage to introduce the event, Tamron Hall had the honor of introducing all of the Disney legends. The Disney legends were honored for their "significant impact on the Disney legacy, inspiring contributions and talent."
The award was truly symbolic with the spiral representing imagination and the power of an idea, the hand represented the gift of skill, discipline, and craftsmanship; while the wand/star represented magic and the spark that is ignited when magic and skill create a dream.
The honorees included Ellen Pompeo, Rob't Coltrin, Patrick Dempsey, Doris Hardoon, Anthony Anderson, Tracee Ellis Ross, Robert "Bob" Price Foster, Chris Montan, Jonathan Groff, Kristen Bell, Josh Gad, Idina Menzel, Don Hahn, and Chadwick Boseman.
The inductees to the Disney Legends Hall of Fame were a part of the 100 years.
Each honoree gave a speech regaling the audience with how Disney touched their lives, helped them fulfill their dreams, and now they're living legends.
