The Los Angeles Chargers Impact Fund is dedicated to helping families thrive throughout Southern California. We are able to do this with strategic programming that encircles all aspects of a family. Through our pillars of Youth Empowerment, Supporting Families and Animal Welfare we provide resources for the whole family.
The Chargers Impact Fund is committed to helping families thrive in and around Southern California. Alex and Faye Spanos firmly believed that a solid family foundation was critical to success in life. That's why in 1995 they created the Chargers Impact Fund to focus on improving the circumstances of families and their communities. Over the years, the Fund has awarded more than $12 million in direct community assistance, including more than $6 million to public schools for badly needed physical fitness, nutrition and athletic programs and equipment. Today, in partnership with Chargers fans, volunteers and donors, the Chargers Impact Fund continues to honor Alex and Faye's legacy by helping to build strong support structures for youth, families, and their communities across Southern California.

- Bolt Academy - A collaborative partnership between the Chargers Impact Fund, Inglewood Unified School District, and Brotherhood Crusade, a nonprofit building power in South L.A. for over 50 years, created to prepare students for careers. Students are learning skills working on Chargers game days.
- First Downs for Books - Students who fall behind in reading comprehension before 3rd grade are more likely to struggle academically later in life. That's why whenever the Bolts get a first down, $100 worth of books will be donated to local youth. Chargers staff and players will also host monthly virtual readings throughout the season.
- Touchdowns for Turf - For every touchdown scored by the Chargers this season Find Your Grind Foundation will donate $1,000. These donations will benefit the Impact Fund and Find Your Grind Foundations efforts to build and renovate community football fields for young athletes.

Aired September 25, 2022: Lisa Foxx spoke with Heather Birdsall, the VP of Community Relations for the LA Chargers. They discussed all the ways the organization gives back to youth, families, animals and our communities in need. She mentioned the above programs and how even just buying a ticket for the 50/50 raffle and/or video board message on game days could make a huge difference in fundraising and giving back to those in need.
