Paul Corvino interiews Henry Walker, CEO of F&M Bank, on this week's Southern California's CEOs You Should Know!
W. Henry Walker serves as Chief Executive Officer of Farmers & Merchants Bank. As a fourth generation Walker family banker, he officially began his career with F&M Bank in 1987. However, Henry first served the Bank when he was 16-years-old delivering gingerbread to the branches at Christmastime, a family tradition.
When Henry assumed a leadership role in 2008, he succeed his father who had served for 29 years as the Bank’s CEO. Since then, F&M Bank has grown into a regional bank with over $12 billion in assets and 27 banking offices from San Clemente to Santa Barbara, and is now among the top banks in the U.S. While branches, handshakes, and values are just some of the traditions you will find at F&M Bank, under Henry’s leadership the Bank has adopted some secure, convenient and cutting-edge technology.
Raised with the values of hard work and of service above self, Henry believes in the responsibility of sharing the blessings of four generations of success in the family business by and giving back to the communities the Bank serves. Throughout his tenure, Henry has been active in various organizations and currently participates on the boards of Big Brothers Big Sisters of Orange County, Orange County Bar Foundation, Orange County’s Pacific Symphony and the Long Beach Symphony.
Henry currently resides in Long Beach with his wife, Erin. He is an active polo player and is passionate in his Christian faith.
