Tyla recruited a couple fellow artists on culture's biggest night for a captivating performance at the 2024 BET Awards on Sunday (June 30).

The South African star brought Gunna and Skillibeng to the stage for their new song "Jump," which dropped earlier this year. The mesmerizing performance kicked off with several painted dancers posed to create the illusion of a tiger in a cage before Tyla was lowered to the stage, telling everyone "they never had a pretty girl from Joburg." All the dancers from the cages around the stage broke out as Tyla danced around, singing that she "[loves] to make it jump."

After Gunna's verse, which saw him rapping beside an elephant, Skillibeng marched across the stage followed by men on stilts, with Tyla just tall enough to twerk under the lifted dancers as they walked over her. The 22-year-old star ended her performance by crawling down the stage, showing off even more of her moves as confetti rained down.

In addition to her new music, Tyla made waves in the fashion world with a stunning look in her Met Gala debut, bringing the sands of time for the "Garden of Time" dress code with a jaw-dropping Balmain gown that made her look covered in sand, complete with an hourglass in hand. The incredible ensemble was so elaborate that she could barely even walk and she instead was carried up the steps every time she needed to move.
