The NFL has released a statement defending its coverage of Taylor Swift! In October of 2023, of course, it makes all the sense in the world - with the NFL pushing the Travis Kelce-Taylor Swift storyline to the point that Kelce himself said the league was "overdoing it". Now, the NFL has responded: "We frequently change our bios and profile imagery based on what's happening in and around our games, as well as culturally, the Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce news has been a pop cultural moment we've leaned into in real time, as it's an intersection of sport and entertainment, and we've seen an incredible amount of positivity around the sport." The league also said the "vast majority" of its content has been focused on the games and the players.
