102.7 KIIS FM Jingle Ball presented by Capital One returned to the KIA Forum on Friday (December 2). Holiday spirit was in full swing thanks to a star-studded line-up, including acts like Dua Lipa, Jack Harlow, Pitbull, and more.
Ava Max joined us in The Mercedes-Benz Interview Lounge to talk about her new album and her goals of a world tour.
One of her favorite highlights from the year was the announcement of her new album "Diamonds and Dancefloors". Ava Max said she was "very, very" excited about that announcement and said filming the video for the song was an incredible experience.
In 2023, her new album will be released and explained the songs are her favorite that she ever recorded. "It's very different," Ava Max said, adding that it's more mid-tempo and a little slower than her fans are used to hearing. "I feel like people haven't seen that side of me," Ava Max stated.
Her approach for the album when heading into the studio was more "chill" as she focused on calming herself down to put herself in the right space for these songs for this album.
For the upcoming holiday, Ava Max is looking forward to spending time with family and relaxing since that's not something she usually gets to experience during her busy year.
Ava Max also explained that in 2023 she's looking forward to launching her own headlining tour, which would be a new experience for her.
