Ever since the Sixth Street Bridge opened a few weeks ago, there's been so many dangerous and illegal activities that have been going on and LAPD has shut down the bridge a few times already.
According to ABC 7, LAPD Chief Michel Moore said that they will install speed bumps on the new bridge to help reduce the "dangerous speed displays and exhibitions." They hope to install a center median and fencing to keep people from going on the archways. The bridge cost $588 million and finally opened on July 10th after being closed for refurbishment since 2016.
Over the last four days, police apparently made more than 57 citations and impounded six vehicles. There have been many videos posted on social media from all the illegal activities such as a barber cutting hair in the middle of the bridge in between oncoming traffic, people climbing the archways to get a better view and then street takeovers.
