We are a few days away from Fourth of July and four cities had to find an alternative way to celebrate because they had to cancel their firework shows at the last minute.
According to Fox 11, the California State Fire Marshall raided the ExpoShow, Inc. warehouse in Mojave on June 25th over public safety concerns and potential criminal activity. The contractor's display permit was revoked due to the raid and because of this, the four cities were forced to cancel their firework shows. Below are four cities:
- Lancaster and Palmdale: Annual 4th of July Extravaganza in the Antelope Valley has been canceled but officials are trying to find another way to celebrate.
- La Puente: City officials will celebrate the day with a Patriotic Laser Light show instead of the firework show.
- Lynwood: The city will also be celebrating with a festival and laser light show but will move the event to July 3rd.
