You Can Be Fined Up To $20,000 For Stealing Joshua Trees

The San Bernardino County Board of Supervisors approved to increase the fines for stealing Joshua trees in the county, which now result in up to $20,000 fines.

Stealing the iconic, twisted desert tress will be $5,000 for the first conviction, then up to $10,000 for a second conviction and finally up to $20,000 for a third conviction or up to six months in jail. The previous punishment of the misdemeanor was much lower with being a $1,000 fine. Click here for more.
