Mayor Garcetti Restricts Outdoor Watering To 2 Days A Week Due To Drought

Southern California has been facing a major drought and today L.A. Mayor Eric Garcetti announced that outdoor watering in the city will be restricted to two days a week.

The new restrictions will be in effect on June 1 and there will be no watering allowed outdoors between 9 a.m. and 4 p.m. regardless of your watering day. According to the Los Angeles Department of Water and Power, sprinkler watering will be allowed on Monday and Friday for odd-numbered addresses while even-numbered addresses will be allowed to water on Thursday and Sunday.

Watering with sprinklers are restricted to 8 minutes per station and those who use water-conserving nozzles are limited to 15 minutes. Go to ABC 7 for more info.
