Grace Gaustad Talks 'Hero' Being Featured In Netflix’s “Rescued by Ruby”

Netflix announced they will be releasing an original movie every week in 2022. Netflix recently released Rescued By Ruby which tells the story of State trooper Dan (Grant Gustin) dreams of joining the K-9 Search & Rescue team, but no one will give him the chance. Shelter dog Ruby dreams of having a home but is running out of hope. When fate brings Dan and Ruby together, it's their unshakable bond that helps them face their toughest challenge yet. Based on a true story, which features an original song by Grace Gaustad called 'Hero', we caught up with Grace to ask her about this achievement! Grace says:

“As an artist, it’s been truly an honor to have my song ‘Hero’ featured in Netflix’s “Rescued by Ruby,” and as an animal lover, having my music in a film about such an incredible dog was a perfect fit for me. Animals teach us to love, and more importantly, they show us unconditional love, which we all could use a little more of these days. My mom always says, “If you save one life, you save the world,” and that’s really what a hero is to me – changing someone else’s life for the better. I feel so honored to be part of this project and can’t thank Brian Gott enough for letting me be a part of such a great story! Ruby is a real life hero, in every sense of the word, and her story is as inspiring as it gets! If you haven’t seen “Rescued by Ruby” yet, definitely check it out!”
