According to Dote Sports, New York Times will remove some offensive words from Wordle. This game has been a huge hit over the last 4 months and has now been acquired by the New York Times. According to Polygon:

Words often used as gendered slurs—such as “b**ch,” “w**re,” and “s**ts”—have been removed from the game. That means any time players attempt to use those words, the guess will not be allowed and the player will have to make another guess from a word in the game’s giant word list.
