Last week, Netflix released a new trailer teasing a three-part documentary on Kanye West called "Jeen-Yuhs."
West went on Instagram early Friday morning to release a statement saying, "I'm going to say this kindly for the last time. I must get final edit and approval on this doc before it releases on Netflix." He ended the caption with, "Open the edit room immediately so I can be in charge of my own image. Thank you in advance 😊."
If you've been following West for a while, you know how particular he can be when it comes to any type of art form he is involved in. The documentary will directed by Clarence "Coodie" Simmons and Chike Ozah. According to Variety, Simmons expressed that "What makes the film special is that it's not something definitive; it's his journey through my vision."
The documentary will first be released at Sundance on January 23 before being released in three installments starting on February 16. "Jeen-Yuhs" will be focusing on over 20 years of West's life and career. If you haven't done so check out the trailer of "Jeen-Yuhs" below.
