California Conference for Women Announces New Speakers for March 4th Event Focused on Supporting Women—and the Urgent Need to Create More Equitable Workplaces

Best-selling authors Glennon Doyle and Adam Grant join Dr. Jane Goodall, Ursula Burns, Angie Thomas and More

January 11, 2021 – Bestselling authors Glennon Doyle and Adam Grant have joined a world-class lineup for the inaugural California Conference for Women on March 4th, a virtual event that will focus on the urgent need to create more equitable workplaces in the wake of a pandemic that forced more than 2.2 million women to leave the workforce in 2020. The theme is Leading the Way Forward.

Iconic conservationist Dr. Jane Goodall, bestselling author Angie Thomas, and Ursula Burns, the first Black woman CEO of a Fortune 500 company, will keynote the California Conference for Women during Women’s History Month. The nonprofit, nonpartisan California Conference for Women is the newest addition to the Conferences for Women, the nation’s largest network of women’s conferences, which also holds annual events in Massachusetts, Pennsylvania, and Texas. The Conference will offer interactive networking, inspiration, and tools to help navigate today’s challenges. A host of expert-led sessions will cover topics including tapping your inner strength and resiliency; dismantling inequalities at work; parenting independent children; and breaking bad habits.

Doyle is an activist and author of the #1 New York Times best-sellers Untamed, a Reese Witherspoon x Hello Sunshine Book Club pick, and Love Warrior, an Oprah’s Book Club selection, as well as the New York Times best-seller Carry On, Warrior. A thought leader and speaker, Doyle leads a highly engaged social media following of more than three million people. She is the founder and president of Together Rising, an all-women led nonprofit organization.

Grant, an organizational psychologist, is Wharton’s top-rated professor, bestselling author, and host of WorkLife with Adam Grant: A TED original podcast. He has been recognized as one of the world’s 25 most influential management thinkers and Fortune’s 40 under 40. Grant’s latest book, Think Again, helps readers learn to rethink their opinions and open their minds.
