Their mission is to end the cycle of youth homelessness carried out by a national volunteer force whose on-the-street outreach efforts will find, stabilize and assist homeless and street youth in an effort to improve their lives.
Each day, about 13 American children die on the streets. Thousands of others are forced into lives of crime while attempting to survive without food, shelter or knowledge of where to go for help. Many of these estimated 1.5 million children are runaways—having escaped dangerous environments where abuse and neglect were the daily norms.
