In honor of Wango Tango coming up on June 2nd at the Banc of California Stadium in Los Angeles, we wanted to highlight some of the incredible things Shawn Mendes, who will be performing at this year's Wango Tango, has been doing. Its been a little over a month since Shawn released "In My Blood" and since then the world has fallen in love with him even more with every passing day. One week after the release of this hit back in March, he released "Lost In Japan" which also took the world by storm and got everybody excited for his album, which is expected to be released sometime in 2018. Just today, Shawn has officially released his new song with Khalid titled "Youth" which we are already obsessed with. You can check out that song below!
Shawn continued the hype by releasing his official music video for "In My Blood" on April 24th, 2018, which was nothing less than perfect. Check out some of the excited fan tweets below immediately following the release of the music video!
The music video for "In My Blood" has such a beautiful concept. It seems as if the walls, snow, and rain represent all of your difficulties in life but at the end of the day there is always a light at the end of the tunnel and the sun appearing and the flowers growing around Shawn at the end symbolize that. It's a very emotional and powerful video that really shows people that although everybody goes through dark times, you can always overcome it. We love that Shawn really shows there's some positivity in everything because that is something everybody needs to hear and understand! You can watch the masterpiece of a music video here.
On top of Shawn releasing new music and a music video, he's also had some killer live performances the past couple of weeks that have left fans only wanting more. One of our favorites was Shawn's performances at the BBC Radio 1 Live Lounge of "In My Blood" and "Lost In Japan," but the one that really caught people's attention was his flawless cover of "Psycho" by Post Malone. Fans went crazy the second this cover came out and have not stopped talking about it since, watch this awesome slowed down rendition of the popular rap song below.
