The Los Angeles Fire Dept talked about fire safety , what to do in case of an emergency , and how we can prevent fires , the brush fires were hard to contain and so many firefighters worked really hard to contain it . Support any fire station or specialized unit in the LAFD through the Adopt-a-Fire Station program. Fire stations are often in need of ice machines, washers and dryers, gym equipment, hand tools, and more. This is especially true in neighborhoods that don’t have the financial resources to support their local station. Examples of specialized units’ needs include wet suits for the Dive Team, forensic equipment for the Arson Investigation Unit, search and rescue dogs and training costs for the USAR K-9 task force, computers and software for CERT.
