I spoke with BTS earlier today in regards to their recent win as "Top Social Artist" at the Billboard Music Awards. They were thankful, excited and well... you can see in the video. They celebrated being the first K-Pop group to win a BBMA and they were overall grateful to be able to attend the BBMA's.
We highlighted some of their night at the awards, like meeting Lil' Wayne and Nicki Minaj near the bathrooms and how they played it cool, of course. This win is a huge step for the group and for all the other K-Pop groups looking to make a mark. They're stay humble though, so humble they started singing the hit by Kendrick Lamar!
I got an interesting question, whether or not they made eye contact with any artists in the crowd while accepting their award. They say they saw DJ Khalid, Miley Cyrus, while others were a little too nervous to see.
Fans of BTS ask how they balance school and work and while they say it's difficult at times, they still are trying to study whenever they can. Well done guys! They touch on their experiences on the road and one memory that sticks with them is during a concert when fans as a group coordinated a rainbow look in the audience which to BTS looked impressive! How'd they do it?!
Looks like they're enjoying the west coast, splurging a little bit... but hey, they deserve it! They taught me some dancing, which I believe I did pretty well with in the beginning. There was so much to talk about, from J-Hope's mixtape, the relationship with their fans to having sold out tours, so much! It was great to see them, they have such catchy tunes and it was such a pleasure to have all of them in the studio to join me!
