Harry Styles Covers 'Rolling Stone' Magazine And Talks One Direction's Break

Harry Styles has had a whirlwind couple of weeks - he released his debut single as a solo artist, 'Sign of the Times', was the musical guest on Saturday Night Live and announced the release of his solo album!

Oh yeah, and now he's on the cover of Rolling Stone because of course he is.

I am living for all this new Harry music and these interviews! We've never known more about Harry himself.

In the magazine he talked about One Direction's decision to go on a break, and how he was actually the one to suggest it back in 2014.

"I  didn't want to exhaust our fan base... If you're shortsighted, you can think, 'Let's just keep touring,' but we all thought too much of the group than to let that happen. You realize you're exhausted and you don't want to drain people's belief in you."

And he's not in anyway saying this hiatus they ended up deciding on is the end of the band!

"I love the band, and would never rule out anything in the future. The band changed my life, gave me everything."

He also talked about what he wanted his sound to be like, as a solo artist, being able to make all of the decisions.

I didn't want to write 'stories,'... I wanted to write my stories, things that happened to me. The number-one thing was I wanted to be honest. I hadn't done that before.

Oh - and he opened up for just about the first time ever about his relationship with Taylor Swift and the photos that surfaced and shook up the entire world of their date in Central Park.

"I think: Relationships are hard, at any age. And adding in that you don't really understand exactly how it works when you're 18, trying to navigate all that stuff didn't make it easier. I mean, you're a little bit awkward to begin with. You're on a date with someone you really like. It should be that simple, right? It was a learning experience for sure. But at the heart of it – I just wanted it to be a normal date."

Of course Harry drops MANY other gems of wisdom and insight to his life that we've never gotten before in the interview, so check out more photos from the shoot and the full interview here!
