WELP! Crayola Is Retiring 'Dandelion' Crayon

I'm so sorry to lovers of the Crayola crayon color Dandelion today... because the crayon has 'announced its retirement' and is departing from the 24-count box set officially.

This is the first crayon to be removed from the box set in Crayola's 100-year history, however the box set was originally created in 1903 and Dandelion was not added until 1990.

It's been quite the colorful 27 year run, Dandelion!

Though a color has never been retired from the box set before, Crayola has retired colors that did not come from the box set before. Those previously retired colors include mint, teal blue and mulberry.

I wonder what new color will be added to the box set now!
