Twitter has another new update -- but this time it involves the character count!
The social media platform announced that you will now have all 140 characters to reply with. Twitter handles will no longer take up the space and character count in your tweets!
This sounds like the perfect idea until you think of how it can backfire.
Since people can now tag infinite users at time ... you guessed it -- people are doing it just for fun! This takes up a huge amount of space on people's timelines, and on top of that, makes it even easier for spam accounts to target everyone! This has been referred to as a 'Twitter canoe.'
So -- while this totally sounded like a great idea, it might not be what Twitter anticipated for their users, and so far the users are not having it!
Let's hope Twitter finds a way to fix the problem.
