Has it been long enough since Tom Hiddleston and Taylor Swift's fast and furious relationship that you almost forgot it even happened? Or almost forgot everyone though it was a total hoax?
Well, don't worry, Tom isn't forgetting! In fact, he's opening up about the very real relationship he shared with Taylor for the first time. And you're gonna want to read this.
Tom is the latest cover star of GQ and, obviously looks AMAZING:
So when the interview turned to his relationship, he was asked if his relationship with pop superstar Taylor Swift was real. Or if it was all fake?
Like the gentleman he is, Tom responded: "Of course it was real."
He continued:
"Taylor is an amazing woman... She's generous and kind and lovely, and we had the best time."
He said the two met at the Met Gala shortly after she and Calvin Harris had just broken up (so there's your full-on timeline, for those still wondering when Tayvin called it quits.)
He also opened up about them traveling together. He said they were both looking for a genuine connection and that they wanted to travel - so travel they did!
"We decided to go out for dinner, we decided to travel…She's incredible."
But it isn't all fun and glamorous when you're being hounded by paparazzi.
"A relationship in the limelight...A relationship always takes work. And it's not just the limelight. It's everything else."
Oh and about that "I ♥ T.S." tank top he was wearing during the (AMAZING!!) 4th of July weekend? Guys. It was a JOKE between friends. He had fallen while playing a game and hurt his back, so he wanted to protect the injury from the sun. When he asked if anyone had a tank top, they gave him that one.
"We all laughed about it. It was a joke... It was a joke, among friends."
And here we all were, getting our thoughts jumbled and having real life conversations about the conspiracy theory that these two were just making a music video. We all are the crazy ones here. And all those theories we had about their relationship made him crazy - but he says in the end, "a relationship exists between two people. We will always know what it was."
And that, everyone, is how a gentleman handles the insane media speculation that was their relationship. Like, it was real, and it was a TANK TOP that cause people to totally freak out. That's all!
For the record, Taylor has never commented publicly about the relationship, but Tom says he doesn't regret dating her because "you have to fight for love." And he's so dang right.
