Huge news for the world of Cheerleading! According to All Day Cheerleading, the competitive sport has been granted full Olympic status. This is an enormous win and something we've been fighting for, for years now.
Now there have been rumors that cheerleading will get to make its debut in the Olympic games as early as 2028. However, that has yet to be confirmed. Sources say that it will take many many years to actually compete.
Fun Fact: Did you know that The International Olympic Committee (IOC) finally recognized cheerleading as a sport in July 2021? So as we patiently wait until they allow the sport to be competed, we can celebrate that we are one step closer to completing the fight for the sport that we love.
