California To End Mandatory Pay For Workers Who Caught COVID On The Job

According to the LA Times, California will no longer require companies to pay employees who can’t work because they caught the COVID while on the job starting in 2023. ⁠The California Occupational Safety and Health Standards Board has voted to end required pay for employees who caught COVID on the job in 2023. It is said that the rule is ending because the policy has become harder to enforce. Previously, only people who caught the virus while at work are eligible to keep getting paid.
