Today marks two years since George Floyd was murdered at the hands of police officers in Minneapolis and President Joe Biden just signed an executive order on policing. The executive order is aimed at reforming federal police practices and establishing a national database of police misconduct.
Biden also said that he will soon travel to Texas to meet with the families of the victims from the murder of the 19 students and two teachers at Robb Elementary School in Uvalde that occurred yesterday; the shooting is one of the deadliest school shootings in nearly 10 years. Biden is also urging Congress to pass new gun control measures in the wake of this horrific massacre.
