Memorial Day is coming up this weekend and even though gas prices have been rising, Southern Californians will still be traveling now that COVID-19 restrictions have lessened.
"With pandemic restrictions lifting and modes of travel such as air and cruises continuing to rebound, Auto Club travel advisors are working hard to rebook trips that were delayed over the last two years and plan new adventures for friends and families," said Auto Club's vice president of travel products and services, Heather Felix.
Below are the top travel destinations for Southern Californians, according to an Auto Club survey:
- Mexico
- Las Vegas
- Grand Canyon National Park
- San Diego
- Santa Barbara and the Central Coast
- Hawaii
If you plan on traveling this weekend, you can expect the longest travel delays to be afternoons on Thursday, May 26 and Friday, May 27. Go to KTLA 5 to check out their table on specific days and times where you can expect to hit the most traffic.
