Outdoor Dining To Become Permanent In Los Angeles

Looks like the"al fresco'' outdoor dining program "al fresco'' outdoor dining program in Los Angeles is on the road to becoming a permanent thing! Just a few days ago, the LA City Council just voted to prepare an ordinance that would keep outdoor dining in place forever.

I know there are some people who will never feel comfortable eating inside of a restaurant again, despite the CDC giving the 'ok' to loosen COVID restrictions. So having the option to eat outside allows everyone to be accommodated.

"In a city whose unofficial motto is 72 and sunny, let's make al fresco dining permanent, including nearly $2 million (in the 2021-22 fiscal year) in grants for restaurants in low-income neighborhoods to set up permanent parklets for outdoor dining,'' the mayor said last April, according to ABC7.

A lot of steps have to be taken over the next 90 days to get this approved. Get more details here.
