Our beloved Patty Rodriguez announced today that she will be leaving our 102.7 KIIS FM/ On Air with Ryan Seacrest family. She made the announcement on-air and shared the post above to her social media platforms. Take a listen to her heartfelt letter to Los Ángeles. Patty also wrote a message:
Los Angeles, I knew I couldn’t say this without crying, so I wrote you a letter. To the city that gave birth to me, I am forever yours….The last 17 years at @onairwithryan weren’t just a dream come true. It gave girls like me permission to know that they belong, at the biggest of platforms, without ever sacrificing our culture and identity. Me being here became a purpose to share our stories, our joy, our pain because we are Los Angeles. Los Angeles you gave me the courage to be me. Always me. Unapologetically me. MEXICANA. AMERICANA. Con el nopal en la frente. Sin miedo. This is not a goodbye, this is a see you soon. This was the most difficult decision, but I know it’s time. Los Angeles you gave me wings to fly. And I promise you, fly I will….
