Long Beach Mayor Announces Schools Will Begin K-5 Instruction On March 29

Long Beach Mayor, Robert Garcia, announced Wednesday that schools in LBUSD will resume K-5 in-person instruction beginning March 29.

The Mayor went to Twitter to deliver the good news, notifying Long Beach residents that "All teachers and school staff will have had an opportunity to be vaccinated with both doses before reopening."

Long Beach began vaccinating school staff late last month, one of California's first cities in California to advance vaccinating educators.
