Man Banned From Yellowstone Park After Trying to Cook Chicken in Hot Spring

An Idaho man may have to find a new national park to visit because Yellowstone doesn't want him back.

Yellowstone has banned an Idahoan from future visits after he attempted to cook chicken in the park's hot springs.

A park ranger was alerted to the news of a group carrying cooking pots to the Shoshone Geyser Basin. What he found was two chickens in burlap sacks sitting in a hot spring.

The man was charged $1,200 for violating Yellowstone's closures and for entering a thermal area. The man pleaded guilty and is banned from the park. He also has to serve two years of unsupervised probation.
