Doña Angela has stolen everyone's heart with her cooking videos and now she is considered one of Mexico's most influential women!
The YouTube cooking star, who brings her rancho-style cooking to you from her home, has been included in Forbes Mexico magazine's list of the 100 most powerful women in Mexico 2020.
If you've watched her cooking recipes on her channel "De mi rancho a tu cocina", you understand the feeling of home she brings with her delicious meals. The "De mi rancho a tu cocina" YouTube channe now has 2.75 million subscribers!
According to the Forbes article, the content promotes rural cuisine with ingredients from the "countryside" AKA the rancho! Doña Angela's works has been recognized less than a year after launching the channel. It should be noted that the list also includes Claudia Sheinbaum, Head of Government of Mexico City; Yalitza Aparicio, Salma Hayek, Natalia Lafourcade and Luisa Wilson.
Doña Angela and her family have published 84 videos, ranging from gorditas de comal, steak with nopales, pickled pork legs, green enchiladas, to tamales, mole, and carnitas from Michoacán. Some of the videos are indeed subtitled for worldwide viewing!
Doña Angela is 70 years old, and lives on a ranch called Pablo Cuin in Michoacán. She is garnering more fans, whom refer to her as la “Tía y Abuelita de todos”, which translates to "Everyone's auntie and grandma." So cute!
