Cheap Trick's Rick Nielsen has formed a new group—and it’s all in the family.
The Nielsen Trust features Nielsen and his sons Miles and Daxx -- who's the drummer in Cheap Trick -- and the wife of Miles, Kelly Steward.
The group is set for 13 shows in the Midwest in March and April, which Rick describes as a "musical show for your eyes, ears, hearts, and an evening's worth of music with stories, some history and a Nielsen Trust Q&A."
Nielsen is the third member of Cheap Trick to do a project with a family member.
Singer Robin Zander also performs with his son, and bassist Tom Petersson has worked with his wife and children on a recording project to help kids with autism, which his son was diagnosed with. In 1980, Petersson left Cheap Trick to record an album with then wife Dagmar.
