Daddy Yankee Opened a Museum In Puerto Rico to Honor Himself

Daddy Yankee now has a museum in honor of his accomplishments, and honestly no one deserves it more.

The record-breaking, King of Reggaeton has opened his own museum honoring himself, and no better place to do so than in his beloved Puerto Rico!

Earlier this month, the 'Con Calma' mastermind announced the opening of a pop-up exhibit, “El Jefe Museum,” in San Juan, Puerto Rico’s Plaza Las Américas. Yes, it's open to the public officially! "El Jefe" Museum opened November 22, 2019 and will remain opened until January 2020. It's all reservation-based, 100% free. Daddy Yankee fans, make your reservations here!

The Daddy Yankee museum is in celebration with the 15th anniversary of his Barrio Fino album, and there’s reportedly over a decade of personal career highlights to feature in the space. You'll even see some young-throwback photos of Yankee, and an inside look at his humble beginnings.

There is reportedly a fully recreated set design of his old neighborhood. The museum’s chronological history even includes throwback photos of Daddy Yankee as…Baby Yankee up until today, the reggaeton legend we know and love.

See some photos from his opening event below:

As expected, The “El Jefe Museum” shelters unique touring and red carpet costumes - as any music legend should (think Prince and Michael Jackson)! Many of his awards throughout his career are here. The location is reportedly an 8,000-square-foot space, and plenty of room for activities. Plus, A TON to celebrate....I mean...it's Daddy Yankee we're talking about here.

If you're in Puerto Rico, be sure to stop by! The museum is located at the first level of Plaza Las Americas: Monday - Thursday 10 AM - 7 PM + Sundays 11 AM - 5 PM.

Congratulations, Daddy Yankee! You have earned this, you legend you
