ABC is Rebooting ‘Revenge’ With A Latinx Lead

One of ABC's most beloved and popular series is getting a comeback.

Deadline is reporting that ABC is developing a Revenge follow-up, except this time with a Latinx lead.

The original 2011 series starred Emily VanCamp and Madeleine Stowe. Deadline adds that this reboot hails from the original series’ creator/executive producer Mike Kelley, writer-producer Joe Fazzio, Temple Hill and ABC Studios, now part of Disney TV Studios.

This Revenge reboot will be written by the original creators and will center around the story of a young Latino immigrant. Deadline continues that this new lead will be guided by one of the original series’ favorite characters after arriving in Malibu to exact revenge on a pharmaceutical dynasty, whose insatiable greed lead to the murder of her biochemist mother, the destruction of her family, and a global epidemic. Sounds great, right?

This Revenge reboot is still in the early stages of production, according to Deadline. Very little is know about new characters, or returning characters. As of now, no actors are attached to the reboot.
