SoCal Firefighters Build Kids' Firetruck For Family Affected By Shutdown

Happy Feel Good Friday!

This week's Feel Good Friday story is straight from Cerritos.

It''s not secret that the government shutdown has impacted families across the country including Krystle Murray's family.

Murray's husband is a member of the U.S. Coast Guard and because of the government shutdown their family hasn't received pay in over a month.

Earlier this week ABC 7 reported that Los Angeles County firefighters from Station 30 got a pretty unique request.

They were asked by Murray's stepfather if they could help build some firetrucks. The firefighters made time to accommodate the request and helped lend a hand to the Murray kids who were in need of some helping hands.

This simple gesture made the Murray's day! For more on the story click here.
