This weekend, my best friend and I took a trip to the beautiful Mexico City.
You may have followed along on my Instagram, but I really wanted to highlight some of my favorite moments from this trip.
Let's start with my visit to the Vencidad Del Chavo (El Chavo's Neighborhood):
Just the day before my trip, our producer Arnulfo (A.J) and I were talking about how El Chavo emotionally resonates with me.
The show IS my childhood and is one of the biggest influences on who I am today.
Visiting La Vecindad Del Chavo was an absolute dream come true.
I also got to visit 'Casa Azul De Frida Khalo'; Frida's house turned into a museum:
Everything about this museum was absolutely magical. It's a great way to immerse yourself in the culture of Mexico City and Frida's lifestyle.
Now for the highlight of my trip, I went to see 'PRIVICIDAD' at the Teatro De Los Insurgentes. This is a show with Diego Luna. I LOVE Diego Luna, and yes maybe it has to do with the fact that he is Gael Garcia Bernal's best friend.
...his team invited us back stage and we met Diego Luna himself!
I still can't believe I got to meet Diego Luna! This was truly the cherry on top of this entire trip.
Every single corner, and every single person has a story and worth a million photos. I saw this woman weaving together a bag, and fell in love. Look at how pure and sincere this photo is.
Mexico lindo, I have fallen in love with you and I cannot wait to come back.
I can't forget about the food. The cuisine and atmosphere of every restaurant were breathe taking. Check out the posole I had at La Casa de Toño:
I am coming back so inspired and prideful. Next time I am for sure bringing my boys!
