Taylor Swift's Wango Tango Performance Was One Not to Be Missed!

2019 Billboard Music Awards - Show

Until recently, it has been nearly a year since the revamped image of American pop star, Taylor Swift has been seen on stage. After releasing her highly anticipated single “ME!” with Panic! At the Disco’s lead singer, Brendon Urie; her supporters showed massive support with the millions of fans who watched her fantastical music video on the very first day of it’s debut. Joel Little produced this track and his long lists of accolades includes other hit-making artists such as Lorde and Shawn Mendes. Their music video has accumulated over 179 million views and it has been only a month since it’s initial drop.

Taylor Swift described her new single as a celebration of “individuality” and she emphasizes on how the “melody” is meant to teach people how to “embrace” themselves. This is a very fitting message for the popular musician as her last album, “Reputation” was a melancholic response to her public dispute with Kanye West and Kim Kardashian. The “ME!” music video is a soft rebuttal to the socialite’s remark of calling Swift a “snake.” Even, the opening scene includes a bright snake bursting into a flock of butterflies which is a very symbolic and positive message to share with her audience.

The spectacle that is the music video for “ME!” leaves Taylor Swift’s audience in awe and this is due to her unmatched creative vision. Swift’s performance at Wango Tango is expected to be nothing less as this will be her first major live performance at a day festival aside from her recent appearance on The Voice’s 2019 finale.
