KIIS FM's Wango Tango returns to kickoff summer 2022 on Saturday, June 4th at Dignity Health Sports Park in Carson, CA!

5 Seconds Of Summer Talks Transformation For Youngblood Album

5 Seconds Of Summer arrived at iHeartRadio's Wango Tango on Saturday at Banc of California Stadium in Los Angeles, ready to deliver a hit-driven set for their fans.

Before the performance, the Australian pop rock band joined KIIS FM's Jesse Lozano backstage to discuss an array of topics. Among those included their upcoming album, Youngblood, and how their sound has changed since they burst onto the scene as teenagers.

"You make notes that we've grown, because you probably met us when we were 17," Drummer Ashton Irwin said. "Musically, we're loving what we do still. It sounds a little different. It's something that we love, and something we want to play for a long time. So, yeah, it's changed in those ways."

Youngblood is set to be released June 22nd.

The guys also give their thoughts on the Backstreet Boys, with nothing but high praise for the iconic boy band.

"I saw Backstreet's Vegas show, and I was absolutely mind-blown," Irwin said.
